Advancing The Science and Practice of Conserving Earth’s Marine Biological Diversity

The Society for Conservation Biology Marine Program (SCBMarine) is in affiliation with the Global Society for Conservation Biology. The Society (SCB) is a global community with representatives from over 100 countries. It is organized into six geographic Sections, seven Working Groups and the Global Marine Program, all of which initiate activities relevant to conservation needs in their regions or areas of relevance. SCBMarine represents the marine conservation needs of all regions globally. SCBMarine collaborates with colleagues across all SCB regions and Working Groups as well as with other conservation organizations on transboundary and interdisciplinary marine conservation issues.

SCBMarine strives to serve as a global organization for the diverse community of  marine conservation scientists, policy makers and practitioners so as to assist its members in bridging the gap between marine conservation research and practice, and policy implementation and make their work more effective in facilitating sustainable conservation successes.
