Registration Rates
Registration is now open for the 7th International Marine Conservation Congress! Early bird registration deadline is June 28, regular registration deadline is August 16.
To register for IMCC7, follow the following steps! Please note, if you have already submitted an abstract then the first 3 steps have already been completed.
1) Go to the link below! If you are an SCB member, log in using your SCB credentials.
If you are not an SCB member, please make a free account from the “create an account” button. Click “Proceed to the IMCC Site as Non-member”
3) Complete your profile
4) Select the “Registration” button
4) Select the “Registration” button
5) Complete the registration forms
6) Based on your profile type, the registration tiers (e.g. developed or developing country) will be automatically determined for you. Select your desired participation: the whole conference, or one day.
7) Read the Code of Conduct
8) Click “pay now by PayPal”. Please note you do not need a paypal account to pay this way, simply select “pay with credit or visa debit card”

All Registration fees are in US Dollars (USD). Non-members, to determine if you qualify for reduced registration rates, please consult SCB Developing Country List and UNESCO List of Small Island Developing States (SIDS ; Excluding Singapore).

Registration Discounts
Various discounts are available to delegates as listed in the registration rates page. In addition, symposia leads from developing nations get a 20% discount on registration. A maximum of one discount can be applied per delegate and one one lead per symposia is eligible for the 20% discount.
Early Bird Registration and Grants
If you are waiting on results of a grant proposal and thus cannot make the Early Bird Registration deadline (TBD 2024), please email TBD as soon as possible and before the Early Bird Deadline. Your email should detail why you cannot make the deadline and when you expect to hear from the organization you’ve applied to for a grant.
Hardship Cases
Members of indigenous communities and unemployed participants might qualify for a discounted registration rate. To express interest, please email TBD. Your email should detail why you are requesting a special rate to attend IMCC7.
Press Pass
Editors, TV/radio/written press reporters and broadcast/Internet reporters/bloggers from verified media outlets will receive free editorial press badges. More information will be available soon!
Carbon Offset
Given the scope and severity of climate change, and the mission of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) and the SCB Marine Section, the IMCC7 Organizing Committee has taken steps to ensure the congress does not become “part of the problem.” The recent Paris Agreement was a watershed moment, where a call for action rather than words was made in relation to the cutting and eliminating of carbon emissions. Given the particularly severe threats to ocean environments, IMCC7 should lead the addressing of climate change and ocean acidification. All congress registrations include a contribution to the carbon offset project (opt-out available upon registration). The contribution for developed country professionals is $13. The contribution for students and professionals from developing country professionals and Small Islands States is $5.
More information on the Charity that the carbon offset will be donated to will be announced in the future. Check back for updates soon!
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation must be received in writing via email to IMCC7 Registration. A processing fee of $50 will be charged for cancellations received on or before TBD 2024. Refund requests will not be accepted after TBD 2024. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Allow up to four weeks for refunds to be processed. People with special circumstances should email IMCC7 Registration detailing why they cannot make it to the congress. Not all requests will be granted. Substitutions for attendees are accepted at any time, please email IMCC7 Registration for more details.
